What a beautiful tribute to your Dad. It is so very true how we never truly know them and what they went through before we came into the world. Often while we have our parents, we take them for granted and only later realize it.
Your father was a remarkable man, and he did his part to make the world a better place. My dad also fought in WWII infantry in the pacific theatre, and did his part for the USA. All I have us a few token photos, and the memory of a dependable loving father.
